This was the first woven textured form that I made. The silver maple I used is a very bland looking wood but a dream to turn and texture with a pyrography pen. After texturing with a branding technique where each small little line in the pattern was done individually, I dyed it black to accent the shape. The finial is my signature design, created with African blackwood.
